School Bus Crash Reported in Bowleys Quarters


The Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association reported a crash involving a school bus in Bowleys Quarters.

The accident was reported at on Tuesday at 7:27 a.m. at the intersection of Carroll Island Road and Eastern Avenue.

It was also reported that the bus had students on board. There was no further information on any injuries or the severity of the accident.

Shooting Reported on Pavia Ct in Rosedale


Officers responded to a local hospital for a reported walk-in gunshot victim on Thursday, Dec. 2 around 11 p.m.

During that same timeframe, there were reports of a potential shooting in the Unit block of Pavia Court in Rosedale.

As Baltimore County detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident, they are asking anyone who may have information about it to contact them by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.

Police Give Update on Kenwood HS Threats


On Dec. 1, Baltimore County police officers responded to Kenwood High School after becoming aware of a series of threats.

Upon their arrival, the campus was secured, thoroughly searched and deemed safe.

Throughout the day, Baltimore County School Resource Officers remained on campus.

Detectives have since determined the calls originated from out of state.

Police Said No “Credible Threat” to Essex Area Schools


Baltimore County police have investigated a threat that was called into a local Essex high school this morning but have determined the threat was not “credible”

The threat was reported on Wednesday. Dec. 1 at 11:14 a.m.

There are unconfirmed reports that Kenwood High was one of the schools on lockdown.

As this investigation was conducted, three Essex area schools were placed on “lockout” status.

Passenger Dies in White Marsh Blvd. Crash


A head-on collision in Nottingham resulted in the death of 32-year-old woman Emerald Butcher early on Sunday, Nov. 28.

Butcher was a passenger in a blue 2019 Nissan Rogue traveling westbound in an eastbound travel lane of White Marsh Boulevard.

A green 2014 Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound in the same eastbound lane and the two vehicles collided around 2:30 a.m.

Medics transported Butcher to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

The drivers of both vehicles were also transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team investigators continue to investigate the factors that led to the fatal crash.

Odor from Halethorpe Fire Smelled All Over County


Many residents all over Baltimore County are waking up this Thanksgiving morning to a burning smell.

That is a result of a fire at a recycling plant in Halethorpe and it continues to burn.

Baltimore County Fire Department responded around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday morning and continue to extinguish the fire on Halethorpe Farm Road.

MDE and Hazmat crews are on the scene.

Fire is contained but smoke odors have been reported as far as Rosedale and Perry Hall.

Hazmat Fire Reported in Carney

Baltimore County Fire Department reported an underground HAZMAT fire in a Carney storm drain in the 9600 block of Harford Road at the shopping center near Joppa Road.

Crews were able to extinguish fire in the storm drains after an unknown product ignited on Tuesday morning before 10 a.m.

Hazmat & BGE crews were called to the scene.

Some businesses were evacuated but no injuries or building damages have been reported.

The roads around the area have reopen for motorists.

Pedestrian Struck by Train in Middle River


Baltimore County police reported a pedestrian was struck by a train in Middle River in the area of Golden Ring & Orems roads on Monday.

It was reported one person sustained life-threating injuries after being struck by the train.

Rescue and EMS crews are treating & extricating the patient.

Use caution in the area. The incident was reported at 1 p.m

Rollover Crash Reported on Cowenton in White Marsh

The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported a motor vehicle crash with rollover on Cowenton Avenue between Panarama Drive and E Joppa Road in White Marsh on Sunday.

It was reported a child was initially trapped in the vehicle but the child got out of the car before the fire department arrived on the. At least one person was reported injured.

The incident was reported before 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 21.
