State Legislative Candidate Forum to be Held at Perry Hall Library

Event to be Held Monday Night

It is almost election time again and the Perry Hall Improvement Association is hosting a community candidates forum for State legislative Districts 7 and 8 on Monday, May 16 at the Perry Hall Library at 9685 Honeygo Blvd.

The District 7 candidates will have their forum at 6 p.m. and District 8 will have their forum at 7 p.m.

District 7 covers eastern Perry Hall, White Marsh, Kingsville and Glenarm. Parkville, Overlea, Rosedale, Middle River and southern Perry Hall are the communities in District 8.

According to the Maryland State Board of Elections, Joe Boteler, Lydia Brown, Ryan Nawrocki, Steve Redmer and Kathy Szeliga are running for two seats in the House of Delegates in District 7A. Senator J.B. Jennings is unopposed in the 7th District Senate race.

Nick Allen, Harry Bhandari, Glen Geelhaar, Manpreet Hundal, Carl Jackson, Tim Neubauer and Kathleen Smero are listed as House of Delegate candidates for the three-member District 8. Ken Fitch, Kathy Klausmeier and Thomas Mwaura are the third candidates that filed for the state Senate seat in District 8.

“Please plan on attending and bring your questions and comments for the candidates. It is also a great time to learn about the candidates’ views and goals for serving the State legislature,” said a statement from the Perry Hall Improvement Association.
