Man Shot in the Middleborough area of Essex


A 32-year-old man was hospitalized just before 9 p.m. on June 7, after being shot on Lanflair and Dargun roads near in the Middleborough area of Essex.

Responding officers found the man outside, suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to an area hospital and is currently listed in critical but stable condition.

VCU detectives are asking anyone who may have information about the incident or the individuals who committed the crime to call 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Double Shooting Reported in Middle River on Akin Circle


Detectives continue to investigate a double shooting that occurred Friday, June 4 just before 5 a.m. When detectives responded to the unit block of Akin Circle in Middle River, they found two men who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital.

While this case remains under investigation, detectives believe this was a targeted attack.

Pedestrian Dies in Dundalk Near Eastern Ave


Baltimore County police reported that 61-year-old Hermenegildo Alvizurez-Chajon of the 4100 block of 51 St., 20710 died in a fatal crash on Tuesday,
June 1 .

Just before 4:30 p.m., a 2015 Hyundai Accent struck pedestrian Chajon who was outside a vehicle near Eastern Avenue and North Point Boulevard in Dundalk. Chajon was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and was not injured.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is continuing their work to determine the factors involved in this fatal crash.

Arrest Made After Barricade in Middle River


A suspect was arrested tonight after discharging a firearm during a barricade near Wilson Point in Middle River.

Just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, Baltimore County officers assisted the Aberdeen Police Department with an active investigation. Officers found the suspect of that investigation, an adult male, sitting in his parked vehicle in the 900 block of Beech Drive

When approached by officers, the suspect exited his vehicle and barricaded himself in the nearby woods. He then discharged a firearm at a Baltimore County Police tactical vehicle and later surrendered to police.

He was taken into custody without incident

Suspicious Package Found at Dundalk Walmart


Walmart in Dundalk has re-opened after police investigated a suspicious package.

A manager of Walmart in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd in Dundalk called police just after 7:30 a.m. on May 31 after finding a suspicious object in the store.

After evacuating and temporarily closing the Walmart, members of the Baltimore County Police Department’s Hazardous Devices Team determined that the object was not hazardous.

The store has since been re-opened to the public.

Reported Mail Truck Stolen in Dundalk


There are multiple reports that an United States Postal Truck was stolen in Dundalk.

The incident was reported Sunday afternoon before 6 p.m. on Lynch Road in the West Inverness area of Dundalk.

There are additional reports that the suspect or suspects were apprehended near Wise Avenue in Dundalk.

There has been no official statement from Baltimore County Police on this incident.

We will provide more information when it becomes available.

Trailer Stolen From Rosedale VFD Parking Lot


The Rosedale Volunteer Fire Company reported that a trailer was stolen off of their parking lot in the 8000 block of Philadelphia Road,

The trailer belongs the Professional Touch Caterers at Rosedale Gardens. The incident was reported on social media on Friday morning.
There were no cameras reported onsite.

Two Boaters Seriously Injured in Bouy Crash

Baltimore County crews reported a boating accident on Thursday, May 27 around 7:30 p.m.

Two boaters suffered serious injuries after their boat collided with a bouy on the Middle River.

Fire crews responded to reports of a boat collision and arrived to find two subjects in the water.

Both were transported to Shock Trauma.
