The Baltimore County Fire Department reported that a woman has died in a fire in the 2100 block of Cockspur Road in Middle River Wednesday morning.
A male victim is also being treated for burn injuries at a local hospital.
Fire crews arrived at 6:13 a.m. with smoke showing from the residential structure. The fire was reportedly under control before 8 a.m.
The fire is still under investigation.
The Baltimore County Fire Department reported a kitchen fire in the 100 Block of Baltimore Avenue in Old Dundalk.
The fire was reported at Monday, Jan. 18 around 11 p.m. Fire crews reported heavy smoke in the area.
No injures were reported.
A pedestrian crossing North Point Boulevard in the Dundalk Precinct was killed on Saturday, Jan. 16 after being struck by a vehicle.
Just after 7 p.m. on Saturday, Police responded to North Point Boulevard and Old Battle Grove Road in the North Point Village area of Dundalk for a pedestrian struck. Crash Team investigators determined that a 2007 Kia Forte was traveling southbound on North Point Boulevard approaching Old Battle Grove Road with a green traffic light. The Kia struck the pedestrian and remained at the scene.
The pedestrian, Andrea Rachele Yarish (48) of the 8100 block of Plaza Drive of Dundalk, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The driver of the Kia did not report any injuries.
The Baltimore County Crash Team continues the investigation.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect linked to at least two burglaries in the White Marsh area.
Just after 2 a.m. on January 1, 2021, the suspect (pictured) entered the grounds of Final Cut Landscaping located in the 11000 block of Pulaski Highway, in White Marsh. He broke into storage containers and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of lawn equipment.
The suspect, described as a black male with a thin build can be seen leaving the location in the pictured white U-Haul van.
Detectives from the Baltimore County Burglary Unit are now asking the public for help identifying this suspect. If you recognize the suspect, the vehicle, or have any additional information to offer, contact detectives by calling 410-307-2020.

Baltimore County police are investigating a fatal pedestrian-involved crash in Perry Hall.
Officers were called to Glen Park Road and Dundawan Road in Perry Hall at 5:45 p.m. when a pedestrian crossing Glen Park Road was struck by a 2002 Acura traveling westbound just east of Dundawan Road.
The pedestrian, identified as John Eric Bartoszak (67) of the 4100 block of Glen Park Road, 21236, was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he later died.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continues working to determine all of the factors that contributed to this fatal crash.
Cody Mulligan, a 21-year-old man who suffered life-threatening wounds after being stabbed outside of his home on Sumter Avenue in Rosedale last Saturday afternoon, has died.
The investigation determined that Mulligan was exiting his home at the same time the suspect, identified as James John Marchsteiner III, was walking down the sidewalk. Unprovoked, Marchsteiner ran toward Mulligan and stabbed him multiple times in the upper body.
Mulligan died on Jan. 7 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Marchsteiner was arrested at the scene and remains held on no bail status, previously charged with attempted first degree murder, and first and second degree assault. Investigators will consult with the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office on seeking the additional charge of first degree murder.
Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting that injured two people in Essex this afternoon.
Police responded to the 900 block of Ashbridge Drive in Essex on Monday, Jan. 4 at 1:25 p.m. and found two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds outside of the Kings Mill Apartments and Townhomes.
Both victims were transported to an area hospital. One of two victims involved in a shooting in Essex yesterday has died.
Kenneth Andre Chamberlain (25) of the 100 block of North Central Avenue, 21202 suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body after exiting an apartment building in the Kings Mill Apartments and Townhomes community with the second victim, a 26-year-old man who also suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen anyone or anything in that area at the time of the shooting to contact detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.
Baltimore County Police made a quick arrest of the suspect responsible for stabbing a man on Jan. 2 in Rosedale.
Just after 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Sumter Avenue in Rosedale for a stabbing.
The investigation determined that the victim, a 21-year old man, walked out his home as the suspect walked near the victim’s home.
The suspect, who held a knife, began yelling at the victim before running to him and stabbing him multiple times in the upper body.
The victim was transported by medics to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The suspect, James John Marchsteiner III (47) of the 1000 block of Sumter Avenue, in Rosedale remained at the scene and was arrested.
Marchsteiner was charged with attempted first-degree murder. He is held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no bail status pending a bail review hearing.
Officers continue the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this stabbing.
A Baltimore County Police Officer traveled on North Point Road in Dundalk near Pinewood Road, in a marked patrol car when a vehicle made a left turn in front of the officer on Friday, Jan. 1 around 3 p.m.
The officer swerved to avoid striking the vehicle and crashed into a telephone pole. The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team continues the investigation and is asking anyone who may have information regarding this crash to contact police at 410-307-2020.
The woman who crashed into a Baltimore County Police patrol car early Saturday morning on Pulaski Highway in Rosedale is identified as Jumana Abdel-Hamid Alhamarneh (33) of no fixed address.
Further investigation revealed that Alhamarneh was briefly staying with someone in Pennsylvania before stealing their Lincoln Town Car Friday night.
Officers from the Pennsylvania State Police were in the process of conducting a stolen vehicle investigation at the time that Alhamarneh crashed the Lincoln into the patrol car on Pulaski Highway just after midnight Saturday morning.
A warrant was issued by the Pennsylvania State Police for the vehicle theft. Alhamarneh is additionally charged in Baltimore County with “Fugitive from Justice – PA” and is held on no bail status pending a bail review hearing.
