Rossville Man Fatally Shot Outside His Home Saturday Night


Police are investigating a deadly shooting at Eagles Walk Apartments Saturday night.

Police were called to the unit block of Leatherwood Place in Rossville just after 9 p.m. for a call of a shooting.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim, identified as Lamont Taylor (33) of the unit block of Leatherwood Place, was arriving home when he was approached and shot by the suspect, who fled the scene. Taylor was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal shooting. Police Investigating Officer Involved Shooting in Essex


Detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Essex last night that injured two people.

Officers were dispatched to a call for a nuisance at 10:42 p.m involving a crowd of people in the parking lot in the unit block of Skipjack Court in Essex.

The first arriving officer was confronted with an armed suspect and discharged his weapon.

Two subjects suffered gunshot wounds. The suspect was transported to an area hospital with life threatening wounds. A second subject suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries.

Homicide detectives were on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including reviewing body worn camera video.

Police Seeking Information on Friday Overlea Shooting


Police responded to the 6200 block of Radecke Avenue in Overlea just after 2 a.m. Friday for a shooting.

Upon arrival police discovered a 28-year-old man lying in the back yard suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The man was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.

ATV and Dirt Bike Thefts Reported in Dundalk & Middle River


Baltimore County Police are investigating after several all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and dirt bikes were stolen in the Dundalk and Middle River areas.

Sometime between April 14 and May 1, storage facilities in the 3000 block of Eastern Boulevard in Middle River and the 2600 block of North Point Boulevard in Dundalk were burglarized during overnight hours. Several suspects damaged and removed locks off of the storage units and stole ten ATVs and dirt bikes.

Police Investigating Wednesday Shooting in Middle River


Baltimore County Police are on the scene of a shooting in Middle River last night.

Officers responded to the 9800 block of Langs Road in Middle River at 8:52 p.m. after neighbors heard shots fired. The victim, an adult man, flagged down a pedestrian on Sopwith Drive to get help. He was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body.

Man Arrested in Perry Hall Domestic Related Stabbing


Police have charged Reginald Eugene Cooper (40) of the 4200 block of Maple Path Circle in Perry Hall in yesterday’s assault on his 11-year-old son.
Cooper was behaving bizarrely yesterday morning when he stopped a neighbor outside and told her to go into his house to check on his son. When she did so, Cooper returned and threatened to kill his son, striking him with a screwdriver and causing a puncture wound. He assaulted the neighbor when she tried to leave to get help. The boy fled the home where another neighbor saw him bleeding and tried to render first aid. Cooper approached and assaulted her, as well as a third neighbor after demanding entry into the man’s home.

When the first officer arrived he was directed by witnesses to Cooper, who did not comply with commands and assaulted the officer. Cooper was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital as a precaution based on his behavior, treated and released. The officer was also transported to an area hospital, treated and released. The boy remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Cooper is charged with the following:
•Attempted first degree murder
•Attempted second degree murder
•First degree assault
•Five counts of second degree assault
•First degree child abuse
•Second degree child abuse
•Use of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure

Cooper is held on no bail status pending a bail review hearing.

Reported Child Stabbing in a Perry Hall Domestic Case


Police are investigating after a child was injured this morning in a domestic related assault.

Officers were called to the 4200 block of Maple Path Circle in Perry Hall at 10:28 a.m. when the boy, 11 ran to a neighbor’s house seeking help after his father struck him with an object that caused a puncture wound to his upper body. The suspect fought with arriving officers, causing a non-life-threatening injury to one officer before he was taken into custody.

The boy was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition. The officer was also transported to an area hospital for treatment. The identity of the suspect is withheld pending formal charges.

Police Report Car Breakins in Essex


Baltimore County Police are investigating several thefts from autos in Essex on Sunday.

Police estimate that sometime on May 10 4:15 a.m. to 6:22 a.m, eight parked cars in the unit block of Urbanwood Court,the 800 block of Dorsey Avenue, and the 400 block of Virginia Avenue were broken into in the Essex area.

The investigation determined that several suspects walked through the neighborhoods, targeting unlocked vehicles parked in residential driveways and on the street.

Man Arrested in December Back River Neck Road Murder


Baltimore County Police charge the man responsible for the murder of Tyron Deandre Davis.

On December 4, 2019 just before 6 p.m. police responded to McDonald’s in the 200 block of Back River Neck Road, 21221 for a shooting. Arriving officers found Tyron Deandre Davis (18) of the 900 block of Lowe Road, 21220 suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by medics. The next day, Davis died of his injuries in the hospital.

Detectives determined that Davis and another male subject approached a group of males who stood outside of McDonald’s. Davis briefly spoke with them before walking away. As Davis walked away, one of the members of the group, identified as Anton Hosea Elsezy Jr. (18) of the unit block of Moline Circle, 21221, pulled out a gun and shot Davis.

On December 6, 2019, Baltimore County Police Homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Elsezy. He was captured by the US Marshals Task Force in North Carolina on Tuesday, May 5, and faces extradition. Elsezy is charged with first degree murder and use of a firearm in a felony.

Man Arrested & Charged in Middle River & Essex Robberies


Baltimore County Police charged a suspect in two armed commercial robberies in Essex last month and believed to be responsible for additional robberies in neighboring jurisdictions.

The investigation in Baltimore County began on April 29 with the robbery of two businesses under similar circumstances just hours apart.

Police were called to Dollar General in the 100 block of Beacon Road in Middle River around 7:30 p.m. after the suspect purchased items but stayed in the store and continued shopping. He returned to the check out with additional items, but this time he stepped behind the counter and produced a handgun, ordering the cashier to open the safe. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Just after 9:30 p.m. police responded to a second armed robbery, this time at Domino’s Pizza in the 600 block of Eastern Boulevard, in Essex. This time the suspect ordered food, then stepped outside. When he returned, he again stepped behind the counter, produced a handgun and ordered an employee to open a cash register and the safe. Again, the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Baltimore County Police Robbery Detectives worked cooperatively with the Anne Arundel County and Baltimore Police Departments, which had both experienced similar crimes, to identify the suspect, identified as Zachery Erin Kuhn (23) of the 1300 block of Pontiac Avenue in Brooklyn, MD. Kuhn and a female passenger were arrested during an April 30 traffic stop, at which time a loaded handgun was also located on Kuhn.

Kuhn faces the following charges:
Two counts of armed robbery
Two counts of robbery
Three counts of first degree assault
Three counts of second degree assault
Two counts of theft
Use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime

Kuhn is held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on denied bail status following a bail review hearing on Monday. The woman was released without charge.
