Essex Man Dies in 702 Motorcycle Crash


Baltimore County Police responded to a fatal Essex motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling on Route 702 towards Mace Avenue when he lost control and struck a guardrail on Sept. 11 at 2:30 p.m.

The motorcyclist, 66-year-old, William Schmittinger of Katherine Avenue of Essex was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is continuing the investigation.

Man Injured After Car Falls on Him in Chase


The Baltimore County Volunteer Fireman’s Association reported a person was working on a car when the vehicle fell on him on Ambo Circle in Chase.

Crews were able to remove the vehicle off the person.

The man was listed in critical condition after being sent to an area hospital.

The incident was reported on Monday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m.

Police Give Update on Bodies Found in Dundalk Home


Baltimore County Police reported that officers from the Dundalk precinct responded to the 3100 block of Baybriar Road  for a call of a subject in cardiac arrest. Once inside the home, they found the lifeless bodies of a 66-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man. The incident was reported on Thursday, Aug, 26 at 7 a.m.

Baltimore County Police Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. Detectives are not seeking any suspects at this time due to the nature of the injuries the couple sustained.

The Baltimore County Police Department expects to learn more about these deaths once the Office of the Medical Examiner releases its findings.

Motorcyclist Killed on Honeygo Blvd. & Mercantile

A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night on Honeygo Boulevard near the White Marsh Town Center.

The crash occurred just before 9 p.m. on Aug. 24 at the intersection of Honeygo Boulevard and Mercantile Road .

The fatal crash happened as a vehicle attempted to make a left-hand turn eastbound onto Mercantile in front of a motorcyclist traveling northbound on Honeygo.

30-year-old Ryan March, who was driving the motorcycle at the time of the crash, died from the injuries he sustained in the collision.

No other injuries were reported at the scene. This remains an open investigation.

Man Killed in Kingsville Motorcycle Crash

Baltimore County Police responded to a fatal motorcycle crash in Kingsville on Friday night.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Philadelphia near Raphael roads negotiating a left curve on Aug. 20 before 11 p.m.

The motorcyclist lost control causing him to go off the road and strike a fixed object; he was pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as 33-year-old, Brandon Johns of Oak Road in Joppatowne.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is continuing their investigation.
