Essex Shooting under Investigation by Baltimore County Detectives


Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred just before 9 p.m., on March 22, in the Essex area near Ashbridge and Hadwick drives.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a grey four-door Honda

The victim reported he was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery. The victim told police he was later driven to the hospital.

Man Fatally Pinned Under Car in Overlea


A man had died in Overlea after he was pinned under a car.

Baltimore County Fire Department reported the incident in the 200 block Elinor Avenue on Monday. A neighbor found the patient pinned under a car in the driveway with critical injuries around 10 a.m. March 22. The patient, who was reported as an adult male was extricated from the scene ,but he was later reported deceased around 1:12 p.m.

There are no further details at this time.

Female Rescued From Inside Rossville Storm Drain

Baltimore County Fire Department reported a confined space rescue taking place in the 9200 block of Oswald Way in Rossville.

This is in the area near the Canterbury Apartments by Franklin Square Drive.

Confined Space Rescue team & HazMat crews responded and rescued a female, who trapped around 25 feet inside a storm drain on Saturday around 12:24 p.m. She was rescued around 2:15 p.m.

She was transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Dundalk Woman Dies in Pedestrian Crash


A 50-year-old woman died Friday night after being struck by a car along Merritt Boulevard in Dundalk. It happened near Westfield Road just after 8 p.m.

As Melissa Leicht, of the 7500 block of Westfield Road in Dundalk, attempted to cross Merritt Boulevard in a travel lane, she was struck by a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo traveling southbound.

Leicht later died at the hospital. The driver remained at the scene.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is continuing to investigate the factors involved in this fatal crash.

Police Need Clues in Pedestrian Fatal Crash


Baltimore County Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run crash that occurred on February 28, 2021 on Pulaski Highway near Little Gunpowder Falls.

The investigation has revealed Alexandra Justine Angel (26) of the 12300 block of Pulaski Highway of Harford County was walking eastbound on Pulaski Highway around 7:20 p.m. when she was struck.

The suspect vehicle was also traveling eastbound when it struck Angel and fled the scene.

The vehicle involved is described as a black 1999-2007 Ford Super Duty F-250 or F-350 with light colored side mounted tool boxes and a ladder rack (similar to the truck pictured below).

It may have front end damage to its driver’s side bumper, a missing headlamp and damage to the surrounding housing. It is noted these items may also appear to have been recently repaired or replaced.

Fire Reported at White Marsh Commons Apartments

Baltimore County Fire Department reported an apartment fire last night at the White Marsh Commons Apartments in Middle River.

Crew reported multiple apartment complexes were part of the fire.

The fire was reported Saturday, March 6 around 10:22 a.m. and had been contained at 11:10 p.m.

One adult victim was transported by EMS crews for smoke inhalation.

Arrests Made in Rosedale Carjacking Crash


Two suspects connected to a carjacking face serious charges after they crashed into a trash truck along I-695 last week.

Daryl Maurice Brown (19) of the 9700 block of Luguna Road in Middle river and Robert Louis Davis (18) of the 5900 block of Clayton Avenue in Overlea were both in the vehicle, a Honda Crosstour, when they attempted to exit I-695 onto Pulaski Highway and collided with the trash truck. The crash caused the inner loop of I-695 to be closed for several hours.

Both Brown and Davis were transported to area hospitals, treated and released. The two are accused of stealing the Honda after assaulting a woman.

The victim was treated and released from an area hospital for injuries she sustained.

Brown faces charges of carjacking, robbery, theft and assault; Davis faces charges of assault, theft, and robbery.

Both men are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center following bail review

Man Dies From Last Week’s Dundalk Stabbing


The victim of a stabbing outside of a Dundalk restaurant last Friday, Feb. 26, has died.

Rosario Valenti (45) of the 7300 block of Edsworth Road in Dundalk died last night at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after suffering multiple stab wounds during an altercation with the suspect early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the area on Friday, Feb. 26 at 12:21 a.m. for a call of a stabbing, but the suspect had fled the scene on foot.

Man Arrested in Carney Shooting Saturday


Just after 6 a.m. on February 28, Baltimore County Police responded to the 2700 block of Cold Stream Way in Carney for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim was transported to a local hospital to undergo surgery and is in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the incident was domestic related. The suspect responded to Cold Stream Way causing a disturbance where he was confronted by the victim. The suspect displayed a handgun and shot the victim before leaving the scene. The police located the suspect shortly after and identified him as 28-year-old Tyrone Vaughan Moss of the 700 block of E. 21st Street, 21218.

Moss was arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder, first degree assault and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Moss is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no-bail status pending a bail review hearing.

Pedestrian Killed on 40 Near Harford County


Baltimore County Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian last night, Feb. 28.

The woman, identified as Alexandra Justine Angel (26) of the 12300 block of Pulaski Highway in Harford County was walking westbound on Pulaski Highway near the Little Gunpowder Falls near the Baltimore/ Harford County line when she was struck. The suspect vehicle, described only as a dark colored vehicle, was also traveling westbound when it struck Angel and fled the scene.

Angel was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.

The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene to conduct a crash reconstruction and continue the investigation.
