Dundalk Football Continues Dominance Over Patapsco

Dundalk started off the season with a 39-6 win over their cross town rivals Patapsco on Saturday.

The Owls jumped off on the road to a quick 20 to 0 score at the half.

Dundalk head coach Matt Banta posted on Twitter that Juniors Quarterback Calvin Stokes had a passing and a rushing touchdowns in the game.

Sophomore Running Back Jordan Fiorenza had three rushing TDs on the game. Junior Wide Receiver Marcus Nicholson had a TD reception too.

Dundalk travels to Kenwood next Friday, who came off a blowout win over Chesapeake Friday.

Patapsco will travel to Essex to play Chesapeake in a battle of 0-1 teams.

“Week 1 in the books! A solid 39-6 performance we can build off of,” Banta said about Dundalk’s win on Twitter.

Man Dies From Last Week’s Dundalk Stabbing


The victim of a stabbing outside of a Dundalk restaurant last Friday, Feb. 26, has died.

Rosario Valenti (45) of the 7300 block of Edsworth Road in Dundalk died last night at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after suffering multiple stab wounds during an altercation with the suspect early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the area on Friday, Feb. 26 at 12:21 a.m. for a call of a stabbing, but the suspect had fled the scene on foot.

Wise Avenue Bridge Has Reopened in Dundalk


County Councilman Todd Crandell reported that the Wise Avenue Drawbridge has reopened in the Dundalk area.

“The Wise Ave bridge work was completed this morning and is now open. Detour signs may be up for a few days but we have been informed they will be removed shortly,” Crandell said in a social media post on Friday.

The Wise Avenue Drawbridge was closed for repairs starting in mid January. Motorists were sent onto North Point Boulevard as a detour.

Stabbing Reported Outside of Dundalk Restaurant


A stabbing outside of a Dundalk restaurant early Friday morning left a man critically injured.

The suspect stabbed the victim, a 45-year-old man, multiple times during a physical altercation on a parking lot in the 2700 block of North Point Road in Dundalk. Officers responded to the area on Friday, Feb. 26 at 12:21 a.m. for a call of a stabbing, but the suspect had fled the scene on foot and remains outstanding. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department are asking anyone who may have information on this incident to call 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Man Fatally Shot on Yorkway in Dundalk


A Dundalk shooting on Yorkway on Tuesday evening has left a man dead.

Police responded to the scene around 7:52 p.m. on Feb. 23.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was found in the 2900 block of Yorkway suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Medics transported the victim to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as 21-year-old DeShawnte Young. This homicide remains an open and active investigation.

The suspect fled prior to police arriving on the scene.

Middle River Woman Dies in Dundalk Crash


46-year-old Rachel Ann Mashburnni of the 7500 block of Clearlake Lane of Middle River died on Feb. 10 from injuries she sustained after being struck by a car on Jan. 11.

Crash investigators determined as Mashburn attempted to cross the southbound lanes of Dundalk Avenue near Center Place South around 8 p.m., a Toyota Camry traveling southbound struck her.

Mashburn was not using the crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene.

Mashburn was taken by medics to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. She was later transferred to the Gilchrist Center Towson where she died.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team continues its investigation into this fatal crash and the factors that contributed to it.

Dundalk Man Killed in Rossville Accident


Baltimore County Police report that 39-year old Dominic William Ajello Jr. of the 3300 block of Belsford Court of Dundalk was killed on Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on Pulaski Highway near Rossville Boulevard. 

Ajello crossed at the crosswalk, against the pedestrian signal, just before 7 p.m. He was struck by a Nissan Altima that traveled eastbound on Pulaski Highway. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene. 

Ajello was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by medics where he died. 

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is continuing their investigation to determine all of the factors involved in this fatal crash

Woman’s Death on Page Drive in Dundalk Ruled Homicide

Beverly Ann Bedell Found Dead in Her Page Drive Home


Baltimore County Police are investigating a suspicious death after they discovered a woman dead in her home Jan. 31.

The woman, identified as Beverly Ann Bedell (76) of the 2800 block of Page Drive in Dundalk was discovered inside her home by officers dispatched for a call of a welfare check. Family members called police to check on Bedell after they were unable to reach her by phone. Detectives are investigating to determine if the victim was targeted.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the death homicide by traumatic injury. Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit are asking anyone who may have information to contact police by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Adult Male Dies in Dundalk Trailer Fire


The Baltimore County Fire Department reported a fatal trailer fire im Dundalk.

Crews were dispatched to the 3700 block of North Point Road for a trailer on fire on Thursday at 4:18 a.m.

Crews made one rescue of an occupant, but it was later reported an adult male died.

The fire was extinguished at 4:29 a.m.

Dundalk Man Stabbed to Death on Yorkway


A 37-year old man died Tuesday morning at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center following a stabbing that occurred in Dundalk Monday night.

Officers received the call around 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived in the 3100 block of Yorkway in Dundalk, they found 37-year-old David Donald Magill, Jr., suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. Medics transported Magill to Bayview Medical Center where he later died. This case remains under investigation by homicide detectives within the Baltimore County Police Department. At this point, the preliminary investigation suggests the stabbing may have been the result of a domestic dispute.
