Patapsco 2019 Record: 3-6

Head Coach Tyler Clough

“The Patapsco Patriots team for the 2021 season is the best team that I have had in my 6 years as head coach at Patapsco. For the first time every player that is on my offensive line is the actual size of a lineman. We also field a team with multiple versatile players, guys that can play anywhere on the field. The best part about my team this year is that they all just want to play football.

“After not playing in 2020 and just a mini season in the spring of 2021 my entire roster is ready to play and they don’t care what position that is. Every guy on my team is willing to play any position and do what’s best for the team. We have huge goals this fall, first we want to go over .500 and have a winning record. Every year I’ve been the coach we’ve won at least one more game than the year before, it’s time to take the next step and have a winning record. Our next goal is to make the playoffs.

“If we go over .500 and win 5-6 games, it should put us in a spot where we have the chance to make the 3A north playoffs for only the second time in school history. Overall, we have a competitive varsity team and are excited for the season.”

Key Players

Elijah Bass, RB/Safety Junior
Elijah is a starting running back and safety, he will lead our team and we will look for him to be a full time running back and carry the load for us on offense.

Willie Beard, OL/DL Senior
Willie is a starting left tackle and D-tackle, he is an all-division player and the anchor for our offensive line.

Kevin Batchelor, OL/DE Junior
Kevin is a two-way starter and an extremely athletic offensive and defensive lineman. Kevin has a high motor and always plays hard.

Gavin Tezzano WR/LB Senior
Gavin had a strong season for us in the covid league and we look for him to carry his momentum into the fall. A two way starter we will look for Gavin to lead us at middle line backer.

Eric Olsen FB/LB Junior
Eric was a two way starter during the spring league and will be a leader on offense and defense this season.

Khalil Coates QB Freshman
Khalil is our starting QB as a freshman, what he lacks in experience he makes up for in size as he stands 6’2 220lbs. We will look to develop Khalil over the next few seasons.
