Unclaimed $50K Powerball Ticket Sold in Essex

Happy winning to the lucky Powerball player who won $50,000 in Tuesday night’s drawing. Even though no one hit the jackpot, Marylanders won 13,489 prizes ranging from $4 to $100.

The Maryland Lottery is looking for the player who bought a ticket at One Stop Convenience located at 321 Stemmers Run Road in Essex. The winning numbers in the July 7 drawing were 8, 21, 30, 49 and 57; the Powerball was 8.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

In 2021, Maryland has had one $2 million win and one $1 million win. This year, Powerball has now produced 31 third-tier $50,000 winners, as well as one $2 million winner, one $1 million winner and the $731.1 million jackpot winner sold in January in Lonaconing.

The $50,000 winner can claim the prize by mail, in person by appointment or by dropping off a completed claim form and the winning ticket in the dropbox at Maryland Lottery headquarters, 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore. Winners of smaller prizes can claim them by mail, at Lottery retailers, at casinos, by appointment at Lottery headquarters or by dropping off a completed claims form and the winning ticket in the dropbox at Lottery headquarters.
