Vance Schield was honored for becoming an Eagle Scout on Saturday, Aug. 7.
A ceremony was held at Back River Methodist Church in Essex. He was presented a citation from Delegate Ric Metzgar, who attended the event,
Schield is a student at Sollers Point and Chesapeake high Schools.
