Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Overlea


Baltimore County Police reported a fatal pedestrian crash Wednesday night in Overlea.

A 2013 Lexus IS 250 struck a pedestrian along Belair Road near Taylor Avenue on Jan. 5 around 8:30 p.m.

The Lexus was traveling northbound on Belair Road. A preliminary investigation determined, the pedestrian, 34-year-old Byron Blowe, stepped into the northbound travel lane of Belair Road, from a sidewalk near Taylor Avenue, when he was struck by the 2013 Lexus.

Blowe was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to police, it does not appear that Blowe was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash. The driver remained at the scene.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team are working to determine all of the factors that contributed to this crash.

Police Release Victim’s Names From Kingsville Fatal Crash


Officers from the Baltimore County Police Crash Team continue to investigate a fatal crash that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 11 along Belair Road and Sheradale Drive in Kingsville.

A preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 12:20 a.m., a 2020 Toyota RAV4, operated by 30-year-old Sunil Baraili was traveling southbound on Belair Road. 47-year-old Maurice Harris, who was also operating a 2020 Toyota RAV4, was traveling northbound.

The two vehicles collided near the intersection of Belair Road and Sheradale Drive.

Paramedics transported Harris to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Paramedics pronounced Baraili deceased at the scene.

Two passengers in the Toyota RAV4 operated by Baraili were transported to area hospitals for treatment. This crash remains under investigation by members of the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.

Two People Die in Saturday Morning Crash in Kingsville

The Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday after midnight with entrapment in the area of the Gunpowder Lodge on Belair Road. The accident resulted in two deaths.

According to reports, crews arrived at Belair Road and Sheradale Drive with a two car crash that saw with three people trapped. One person was deemed in grave condition upon arrival while all others patients had life threatening injuries.

In under 15 minutes, all patients were extricated from the vehicles and were transported to regional trauma centers. Unfortunately, one person died on the way to the hospital. Both of the other patients remain in critical condition.

Car Crashes into Pine Grove Middle and Injures Student


Baltimore County police responded to Pine Grove Middle School in Carney where a motorist had struck the school and injured a student.

The crash was reported on Thursday, Dec. 9 around 8:39 a.m.

Building was evacuated as a precaution but students returned inside at 9:33 a.m.

Pine Grove sent out a letter to parents explaining that one student was injured and transported by EMS.

Pedestrian Struck by Train in Middle River


Baltimore County police reported a pedestrian was struck by a train in Middle River in the area of Golden Ring & Orems roads on Monday.

It was reported one person sustained life-threating injuries after being struck by the train.

Rescue and EMS crews are treating & extricating the patient.

Use caution in the area. The incident was reported at 1 p.m

Two Pedestrians Struck on I-95 in White Marsh

A pedestrian crash shutdown I-95 South before White Marsh on Monday evening.

The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported that two of its engines responded to southbound I-95 just below New Forge Road in White Marsh for two pedestrians that were struck by a vehicle.

This is around mile marker 69.3 between New Forge Road and White Marsh Boulevard.

A medevac from Maryland State Police has transported one of the two patients to a trauma center.

The accident was reported on Nov. 15 around 4 p.m.

Dundalk Man Dies in Holabird Ave. Motorcycle Crash


Marco Tulio Lemus Osorio, 26, of the 3100 block of Walford Drive in Dundalk has died after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Dundalk Friday afternoon.

Osorio was driving a 2009 Kawaski motorcycle westbound on Holabird Ave approaching Brookview Road on Friday at 4 p.m.

As a 2019 Ram pick-up truck was making a right turn onto Brookview Road, Osorio tried to pass the pick-up truck on the right and collided with the vehicle.
Osorio was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries; where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team investigators are investigating the circumstances surrounding this crash.

Pedestrian Killed Near Pulaski & Campbell


A driver struck and killed a pedestrian along Pulaski Highway over the weekend.
It occurred Saturday, Sept. 18 before 9 p.m.

Investigators determined the driver had just made a U-turn at the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Campbell Boulevard when a 68-year-old man was hit.

Stanley Vingsen Jr., who was attempting to cross Pulaski Highway without utilizing a crosswalk, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver had just turned westbound when the crash occurred; Vingsen was walking southbound.

At the time of the accident, Vingsen did not identification on him.

Man Fatally Hit Outside Vehicle in Dundalk


A man was struck and killed as he was standing outside his legally parked vehicle on Tuesday night in Dundalk.

A driver went on to hit the victim and his vehicle as well as a car parked in front of it.

Both vehicles were legally parked when they were struck along Dundalk Avenue near Patapsco Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

Medics transported 35-year-old Santos Porfirio Flores Cabrera to a local hospital where he later died.

The driver who hit Cabrera was also transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
