Five Area Football Teams Pick Up Road Wins

The theme this past weekend was road wins as seven of the area schools were on the road and five of those schools picked up road wins in football (Kenwood, Patapsco, Dundalk, Mount Carmel & Sparrows Point). Perry Hall was winless in 2019 and now they are 2-0 going into their big showdown with Dundalk this Friday night.

Patapsco 21 Towson 0
The Patriots are off to a 2-0 start after a 21-0 road win over Lansdowne. The Patriots will play their first home game of the year against Pikesville as they will try to go 3-0.

Kenwood 44 Woodlawn 6
After a tough loss at Linganore last week, the Bluebirds go on the road and blow out Woodlawn 44-6. Kenwood will play at home for the first time this year against New Town.

Dundalk 37 Parkville 6
The Owls also started the year with two road wins as they defeated Parkville 37-6. Both teams made the playoffs in 2019, but it was all Dundalk on Saturday. Dundalk will host Perry Hall this Friday night.

Sparrows Point 28 Western Tech 8
The Pointers also picked up their first win on the road as they defeated Western Tech 28 to 8. They will host Eastern Tech in their first home game of 2021.

Mount Carmel 62 Clear Spring 12
The Cougars bounced back with a 62-12 against Clear Spring out of Washington County. Mount Carmel football will continue to travel as their first five games are on the road. This weekend the Cougars are out of the state as they travel to Pennsylvania to play KIPP DuBios.

New Town 44 Overlea 6
The Falcons fell to 1-1 after losing to New Town last Saturday. They travel to Milford Mill this weekend.

Perry Hall 48 Towson 0
Perry Hall football started the season with a 46-0 win over Lansdowne and defeated Towson 48-0. With Dundalk’s win over Parkville, it appears that Perry Hall and Dundalk are the best two teams on the east side. The Gators and Owls will meet this Friday night in Dundalk.

Loch Raven 32 Eastern Tech 18
The Mavericks fell to 0-2 after a home loss to Loch Raven. Eastern Tech will look for their first win this season against Sparrows Point Friday night.

Pikesville 42 Chesapeake 0
The Bayhawks had a bye Week One but started off their season with a road loss at Pikesville 42-0. Chesapeake will host Western Tech this Saturday.
