Baltimore County officers responded to the 2100 block of Eastern Boulevard in Middle River for a shooting on Sunday.
Officers located a juvenile subject suffering from a gunshot wound on Nov. 21 around 4:15 p.m.
The person has been transported to an area hospital for treatment. This remains an active investigation.
Members of the Baltimore County Police Department successfully resolved an incident this morning that involved an armed individual, barricaded inside his vehicle.
Out of an abundance of caution, several roads in the area were closed in the area of Dulaney Valley Road and Jarrettsville Pike in Jacksonville as this matter was being addressed.
Those roads were reopened shortly after the subject, who appeared to be in crisis, was safely taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for an evaluation.
The subject involved in this morning’s incident was being sought following reports of property damage that occurred Saturday evening.
At approximately 11 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, officers responded to the 11000 block of Crossroads Circle, 21220, for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers observed property damage to the location. The subject involved had left the scene. No one was injured.
At 11:24 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, officers responded to the 8900 block of Kelso Drive in Essex for a report of a firearms discharge. When officers arrived, they observed property damage to a government-owned building. No one was injured
At 11:54 p.m., officers responded to a firearms discharge in Unit block of Nakota Court in Middle River.
As officers searched for the subject, a report of a suspicious vehicle was received at 5:35 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 21.
Officers responded to the location near Dulaney Valley Road and Jarresttsville Pike and secured the area.
Crisis negotiators and other specialized personnel within the Baltimore County Police Department as well as members of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police helped to bring this morning’s incident to a peaceful resolution

The Baltimore County Police Department recently concluded a month-long investigation into members of a violent Outlaw Motorcycle Gang operating in the Baltimore Metropolitan Region. Police arrested eight members of the organization for violent crimes and other felony charges. Police seized twelve firearms including three “ghost guns” related to the case. The Harford County Sheriff’s Office and Prince George’s County Police Department supported this operation.
The Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN), which focuses on criminal networks that impact multiple jurisdictions, funded the investigation. “The Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network is an example of the continued collaboration with our law enforcement partners throughout the State of Maryland,” said Police Chief Melissa Hyatt. “I applaud the members of the Baltimore County Police Department along with our law enforcement partners who worked tirelessly to remove these dangerous individuals from the community.”

Thanksgiving weekend kicks off the Christmas Season and the Middle River area will celebrate with the 21th annual Middle River Parade of Lighted Boats on Saturday, Nov. 27 starting at 5:30 p.m.
The parade starts at Carson’s Creekside around 5:45 and ends at Frog Mortar Creek around 7:45. The parade can be viewed on land at Bauernschmidt Manor/Eastern Yacht Club (6:30 to 7) Rockaway/Turkey Point (6:40 to 7:10)and Bowley’s Point/Bowley’s Quarters (6:50 to 7:20).

The Dundalk area will also hold a Bear Creek boat parade on Dec. 4.
The Northeast Area Elementary Boundary Study Committee held a virtual meeting on Wednesday night to release their two proposed boundary maps for the new Northeast Elementary School in Rossville.
The creation of the new school in Rossville will also shift some students in Elmwood, Fullerton, Joppaview, McCormick, Perry Hall Red House Run and Shady Spring elementary school to the new school or one of the existing schools.
This was a similar move in 2018 when Honeygo Elementary School opened and many of the students in the Perry Hall/Carney area were shifted. Honeygo students, along with Seven Oaks, Gundpowder, Chapel Hill or Carney will not be affected by the opening of the new Rossville school.
Perry Hall and Joppaview were will be apart of rezoning again, but it appears different neighborhoods from those schools will be shifted that did not take part in the 2018 rezoning.
BCPS Board of Education Vice Chair Julie Henn released the maps from the meeting on social media.
“The Northeast Area Elementary Boundary Study Committee has been meeting since September 22, 2021, to review and create options for revised attendance boundaries at elementary schools in the Northeast area,” Henn explained.
“The goal is to relieve overcrowding through additional seats at a new Northeast elementary school located near the intersection of Rossville Boulevard and Gum Spring Road and a replacement building of Red House Run Elementary School.”

There were five $100,000 Scratch-off Prizes throughout the state, including two in eastern Baltimore County last week.
In all, 26 players across the state won or claimed prizes of $10,000 or more, and the Lottery paid more than $27.5 million in prizes in the seven days ending Oct. 24.

After undergoing some very challenging circumstances, the mother of two saw her situation take a rapid turn for the better when she scored a $100,000 top-prize win on a $100,000 Lucky scratch-off!
The 33-year-old found her big win after stopping for gas at a Middle River Royal Farms located at 1302 Windlass Drive.
While there, she decided to buy Lottery games. Her luck began when she purchased a $10 instant ticket and won $20. The scratch-off fan then added another $10 to her $20 prize to purchase a $30 $100,000 Lucky scratch-off.
She scanned her instant ticket while in the store. After seeing the “Take to Lottery” message, the player took the scratch-off to the store clerk to rescan. She quickly learned a $100,000 fortune was coming her way. “It took everything in me to keep myself together,” the happy player said.
Once she left the store, our winner shared the great news with her grandmother and her best friend. The lucky lady currently works in banking and plans to use her winnings to purchase a house, make financial investments and take a vacation.

Baltimore County Hazmat crews are on the scene of a large fuel spill in Middle River on Wednesday night.
It was reported a tanker truck leaked 350 to 500 gallons of diesel fuel at the corner of Pulaski Highway and Middle River Road after 6 p.m.
Fuel was leaking into storm drain. MDE has been called to the location.
Storm drain has been secured. Two lanes on Route 40 are still closed.
